They sure look a heck of a lot better than the Civ3 ones. Thanks for posting those. Can't wait to dive into Civ2 after AoI 4 is released! *eager expression*

They are all civ 3 unit I have converted to Civ 2 ToT

Wow, seems I'm not the only one that seriously enjoyed Civ 2! I just bothered getting internet in the new house and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of posts here :-)

It's probably the one Civ where I had the longest running single game. I remember starting it before I moved to the UK for my studies and only did the last turn weeks before I moved back after 10 months ;-) Of course this wasn't a scenario, but normal gameplay was still fun. (When playing MUDs wasn't too addictive)

Thanks for those links! I think I'll go try to figure out in which still unpacked box my Civ 2 game resides... Have a spin on an old gem...

Only bad thing about this game is that it runs your cpu at 100 percent... constantly! There doesn't seem to be any kind of work around - it's hard coded, as far as I can determine.
